We are so happy to let you know that only halfway through the treatment, all the genetic markers are in the reference range (EGFR – epidermal growth factor receptor; VEGF – vascular endothelial growth factor; HER2 – human epidermal growth factor receptor). Also, the MRI of the brain and spine has shown no abnormal enhancement or signal to suggest the presence of any metastatic disease.

Our prayers and yours are definitely working! Thank you again for all your support,

After considering the possible devastating effects of a proposed radiation treatment at the Yale Hospital to Diana’s brain and spine, and the fact that her body and mind are still developing and this will only add to the number of possible side effects, we decided to seek alternative treatments.

For anaplastic ependymoma, treatments are still in different clinical trial stages, as regulated by FDA. We found a better, less damaging approach to treating cancer in Houston, Texas, at the Burzynski Clinic. Hippocrates’ “First, do no harm” philosophy is well applied to how their antineoplaston therapy and personalized treatments help the body’s natural defense system fight cancer.

We were very impressed by the warmth and welcoming nature of everybody over there, and we feel that after they answered our questions, we’re in good hands. Diana had to go through other tests and examinations, to help the Burzynski Research Institute and the medics at the Burzynski Clinic tailor a treatment strategy for our daughter.

In the meantime, she had another MRI that showed that are no more measurable tumors on her spine right now. The news made us very happy!! We want to thank you all for your valuable support.

God bless you!
